How to Stop Heart Attack in a Minute

Heart attacks are scary and can end someone’s life. If you have this one ingredient in your home though, you will be able to stop an impending attack in just one minute according to Dr. Richard Schulz.
The American herbalist Dr. Christopher claimed that in his 35 years in practice he has not lost a single patient due to heart attack. He follows an almost secret recipe to achieve this. The recipe includes cayenne pepper, which is a popular type of chili pepper and is said to be so powerful that it can prevent a heart attack.

How to Use Cayenne Pepper for Heart Attacks

In order to stop an impending heart attack, cayenne peppers should be readily available. Have a cup of cayenne pepper tea prepared if there is someone in your home that has a heart disease or is prone to have an attack. It is easy to prepare the tea. Simply have a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder and add it to a cup of water. Give the mixture to a family member or friend who may have a heart attack and he or she will soon be safe. Make sure though that the person is still conscious before you provide the tea.
Five to 10 drops of the tea is already enough for a patient who might suffer from a heart attack. You can add another five to 10 drops after five minutes if the condition of the patient does not improve. Meanwhile, if the person is unconscious, you can still give the patient the cayenne pepper extract. However, you should be careful, particularly because the measurement has to be precise in which the extract should be 90,000 Scoville units. Just put the extract under the tongue of the patient and wait. You may have to perform CPR techniques if you know how to in order to quicken the results.

Why Cayenne Peppers

Cayenne peppers are quite a potent stimulant and yet it does not affect a person’s alertness. Instead, it promotes heart rate and helps in carrying blood to the most crucial parts of the body. In this case, good circulation is restored. These peppers also have a homeostatic effect on the body and are very effective at stopping bleeding. What’s most important is that it aids in the fast recovery of the heart.
Aside from cayenne pepper, you can use habanero, Thai Chi, jalapeno, scotch boney, and Jamaican hot pepper to ease heart attacks symptoms. All these have the same effects as cayenne, but this special type of pepper is very popular and is easy to obtain. This is why many experts and households choose it over the other selections.

Does Wearing a Hat Cause Hair Loss?

You love accessorizing with hats. They complete your overall look as well as keep your face from being touched excessively by the sun’s UV rays which can cause premature aging. However, you are worried because you might have heard somewhere that wearing hats could lead to hair thinning.
So does putting on hats can cause hair loss? The simple answer is no. However, it is possible for the use of hats to lead to hair loss, provided that certain conditions are met.
There are a handful of reasons behind hair loss. They include:

  • Genetics. If hair loss runs in the family, then you better brace yourself for the future.

  • Hormonal issues. Imbalance in your hormones can actually cause the shedding of hair.
  • Stress. Leading a very stressful life? Then you are at risk of hair
  • Certain drugs or treatments. It’s normal for some drugs or treatments to cause hair loss as a side effect.
  • An illness. Being ill can in fact cause you to shed more hair strands than normal.
Speaking of shedding hair strands, experts say that it is perfectly fine for you to lose 50 to 100 strands of hair a day. It is perhaps for this reason why some people assume that wearing hats can trigger hair loss — they get to see lots of hair strands in their hats after removing them. But this does not necessarily mean that accessorizing with hats is the culprit; it can only mean that it’s a normal incident involving the hair.

However, it is very much possible for hat wearing to lead to hair loss. It’s all due to some of the other possible reasons for hair loss that can be linked to the use of hats in the wrong fashion. Take a look at the following:
  • Hair damage and breakage can lead to hair thinning. It’s for this reason why you should refrain from wearing hats for hours on end. From time to time, remove your hat and allow your hair and scalp to “breathe”.
  • You can lose hair by opting for tight hairstyles such as cornrows or ponytails. The same problem can happen if you like wearing hats that are simply too tight for you. The solution is for you to invest in hats that properly fit your head.
  • Fungal infections can also contribute to hair loss. Because of this, make sure that you clean your hats from time to time. Otherwise, microbial growth in them may cause scalp irritation and infection, leading to hair loss.

Anti-Aging Masks You Can Make on Your Own

Wrinkles and fine lines can happen to anyone as they are a part of our natural biological process. They can happen to anyone, even though they are more common in older people. Aging is the main cause of wrinkles, but there are other reasons that many people neglect, including:

5 Reasons To Have More Fat In Your Diet

With the increase in cases of obesity, fat is often discouraged from being part of a daily diet. Consumption of fat, be it of any type, is correlated to obesity and various other health issues. However, this is not absolutely true. The rise in obesity and heart disease has more to do with the overall poor diet and eating pattern coupled with unhealthy lifestyle, than just having some fat in your diet. Moreover, not every source of fat is bad. There are some healthy fats that you need to consume in your diet to maintain good overall health. A healthy fat diet also helps in the goal of muscle building in various ways.

In general terms, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are the ones that are referred to as 'good' or 'healthy fats'. However, in most common scenarios of daily life, we generally consume the 'unhealthy fats' that come in the form of trans-fatty acids in processed foods and hydrogenated fats from various cooking Oils.
Science is of the opinion that for an optimum health, you need to balance the consumption of mono, poly, and saturated fats evenly in the ration of 1:1. However, the current ratio is somewhere around 20:1. Therefore there is a need to consume more fats in the form of unprocessed and whole food sources of healthy fats.
Benefits:- 1) Fat helps in various functions in your body Before we look at the benefits of fat for muscle building, let's first find out the general health benefits of fat in your duet. Fat is not only a calorie dense macronutrient but it also helps the body in performing various important functions. It helps absorption of vitamins like A, D, E and K which are fat soluble vitamins. By filling up the adipose tissues in the body, fat provides insulation to the body by regulating the temperature of the body. Fats also play an important role in brain development and managing inflammation inside the body.

2) Fat helps in deep sleep Good sleep is the key to optimum health as well as muscle growth. When we say that obesity has been increasing due to poor lifestyle habits, it means lack of sleep too. Low levels of fatty acids are associated with sleep obstructions. Lower level of DHA due to low intake of fatty acids is associated with lower production of hormone called melatonin, which helps you fall asleep. With the increase in consumption of fat, studies show that there is an increase in quality of sleep. More sleep means better life quality and better muscle growth.

3) High fat diet helps in increasing Testosterone levels Your muscle growth is largely dependent on your testosterone levels. There have been various studies to study the impact of high fat diets on testosterone levels. These studies involve consumption of saturated fat as well. The most relevant of them, was where the subjects performed heavy weight training and complemented it with increase of fat in their diet, which showed a clean increase in their testosterone.
It is important to note here that the testosterone levels increased when the high fat diet was given to people who lifted weights. The results were different with the people who were just active and did not lift. For 'active' individuals, a high fat diet did not have similar effects on their testosterone.
Fats Are Important For Your Skin

Good skin health is important, if your aim is to have good muscles. How are you going to show off those muscles if you don't have good skin? Fatty acids like EPA and DHA found in fatty foods perform important functions in maintaining excellent skin health. DHA is the structural component of the skin and is responsible for the good health of the cell membranes. Other ways in which fatty acids help your skin, include; managing oil production in the skin, hydration of the skin, preventing premature aging of the skin and preventing skin from sun damage.

Good Bone & Joint Health You're always at a risk of injuring your bones and tendons if you lift heavy in the gym. Therefore it is important to keep a check on your bone health too. Studies show that an increase in fatty acids in the body can improve bone strength by increasing the amount of calcium on your bones. This may also help with reduced joint pains and increased grip strength.

Alcohol destroys Physical, Mental & Spiritual Health

The English word ‘Alcohol’ comes from the Arabic ‘al-kuḥl’ which translates to ‘the kohl’. In early use, the term referred to powders, specifically kohl. Kohl is synonymous to Kajal, but the ingredients for the two are very different.
Some sources state that the Alcohol is a derivative of the Arabic ‘al-ġūl’ or ‘al-ġawl’. The Arabic ġūl refers to a desert demon believed to devour corpses. It is the origin of the English word ‘ghoul’. So, al-ġūl means ‘Body eating spirit.
The mid-16th century French form of alcool, have been taken very seriously by today’s society, that it is “All Cool” to consume alcohol.
It is very easy to come across warnings that smoking cigarettes is injurious to health. Smoking scenes in movies and videos require to display a statutory warning.

And smoking marijuana (weed, pot, ganja or gāṁjā – whatever you want to call it) is a criminal offence in India.
But, it seems like alcohol has been ignored altogether. In reality, alcohol does far more damage to your cognitive functions and to your overall health.
Why is it so? The answer probably lies in the economics. As per a 2017 post in Forbes.com, India is the third largest alcohol market in the world, with an overall retail market size of ₹2,37,000 crore per year.
Expanding the number for a better perspective - ₹23,71,07,50,00,000.00/- only.
A global study has found that alcohol consumption in India has risen by a whopping 55% over a period of 20 years, from 1992 to 2012.

The Cycle

To tackle the stress of a hectic life, people have moved towards the support of various chemicals. Caffeine to keep you energized through the weekdays, nicotine to give you short kicks, alcohol in the weekend to forget the mundane week and curing the hangover on the Sundays. In order to be ready for the great circus. The show must go on…
In recent times, many people have developed this fatalistic philosophy that an intoxicant is essential to tide over the stress and anxieties in life.

A study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) in 2017, showed in details how brain problems are related to consumption of alcohol.
Among many other observations, the study found that the more people drank, the more atrophy occurred in the brain’s hippocampus. The hippocampus is a seahorse shaped structure in the brain that plays a key role in storing memories.
People who drank 17 standard drinks or more per week, were at the highest risk. Even people who drank in moderation saw an elevated risk of changes to cognitive functions.
Most of you must be aware of the damages it can do to your physical health. But, you may not realize the damage it can do your mental health. Any level of deterioration in mental health cannot be easily measured. Even if there are noticeable changes, people tend to attribute it to the natural aging process.
As mentioned earlier, alcohol does damage to the Hippocampus, which in turn is closely linked to many cases of depression. Also, depression can lead one to alcohol. This can form a vicious cycle.
Even moderate drinkers exhibit damage to the Hippocampus. It causes a host of problems such as Memory Loss, Blackouts, Slurred Speech and Blurred Vision.

Adverse Effects caused by Alcohol are due to –

  • Oxidative Stress
  • Generation of Free Radicals
  • Depletion of Glutathione (GSH) – an important antioxidant capable of preventing damage to important cellular components.
  • Damage to Mitochondria – the powerhouse of the cells.
  • Increased Cytokine induced injury.

The Harmful Effects of Alcohol on the Body

When you drink alcohol, it is absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed across your body. No part of your body remains unaffected. It adversely affects almost every system.

An innovative lab for cocktails and mocktails

CHENNAI: True to its name, as you step into this newly launched restobar, your gaze naturally falls on the wall painted with all the emotions associated with glee — happiness, joy, pleasure and delight. Glee is the latest restobar to join many others cropping up across town. The 3,500 sq ft restobar is owned by Santha Kumar and Hari Arumugam, both with an extensive experience in the hospitality business. “Glee is not based on a particular theme or concept. From youngsters to families, we wanted this place to be a nice hangout spot for all,” says Santha Kumar.
Situated on Greams Road, the eatery is tucked away a few metres down the Murugesan complex street. The space is dimly lit with varieties of tungsten filament lamps and bulbs. Streaked with shades of pink on the wall, the interior decor strikes a balance between brown and red palette. The space has 118 seats with compact wooden furniture.
“We’ve curated a menu that will have more to offer on the food and accompaniments side when compared to the drinks. We’ve also kept the prices minimal for an adequate quantity,” shares Santha Kumar. As we flip through the menu, we find a balanced mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. While western and continental cuisines dominate the menu, there are a few choices from the local cuisine like the pichipota kozhi varuval. We are told that ‘The House of Wings’ is fast selling, with options like chicken glazed wings and buffalo wings. The prices are charged based on six and 12 pieces.
They also have a whole range of syrups made in-house for cocktail drinks like martinis, and a comprehensive list of wines. They plan to open more outlets in Bengaluru, Kochi and Coimbatore. “We recently had a performance by Salsa Madras and it had great response. Eventually we’ll bring live band performances and stand-up comedy shows too,” he says.
